Can't fit in a full hour or simply want to add a dynamic and flowing class into your practice.  The 45 minute classes move at a slightly quicker pace and encorporates barre and yoga elements as well as the occasional use of small pilates equipment such as balls and resistance bands.  These shorter bursts are perfect to sneak in to start your day right, to relieve tension at lunchtime or or help unwind at the end of the day.  You will leave feeling invigorated and relaxed at the same time!

Staying fit and healthy both physically and mentally is one of the best things you can do for you and your baby.

Whether you are in your second or third trimester or have recently had your baby --- you might not be feeling very babe-like at the moment and that’s natural.  As a mum of two Tara appreciates and understands first hand the obstacles of pregnancy and birth and she’s here for you.

Pregnancy Pilates is a wonderful way to safely keep moving throughout your pregnancy.  It can strengthen your core and pelvic floor muscles to better equip you for the strains put on your body during pregnancy and whilst looking after your newborn.  Pregnancy pilates can also provide relief from pelvic girdle pain (PGP) and sciatica and help you relax.

*Please consult your doctor or midwife before beginning an exercise programme during pregnancy. It is not advisable to try a new, strenuous activity and we suggest using caution during the first 12 weeks (first trimester).  If you have any questions or concerns you can contact Tara directly.  pilatesandtara@gmail.com

Mum & baby postnatal pilates are gentle classes that work to re-engage the pelvic floor and deep abdominal and back muscles to help tone and re-vitalise after you have given birth.

Can’t make it to a group class or want more individual instruction?  A 1-2-1 or duet session takes place from the comfort of your own home or setting of your choice at a time convenient for you.

Private pilates sessions can be hugely beneficial. Tara provides detailed and individual instruction specifically according to your body, goals, health and abilities.  Tara has worked with complete beginners though to advanced and also with individuals with sports injuries, disc injuries, special conditions and problems arising from pregnancy or childbirth.

These sessions include in-depth explanations and demonstrations and hands on corrections on positions and alignment.
